Tour de SWET – Very Nice, Great Success!

As we enter the month of August, we come to the end of this years Tour de Swet rider challenge. So after completing 3 weeks of consistent riding, let’s go back and see what made this years Tour de Swet a great success.

With 34 riders signing up for the challenge, the inaugural Tour de Swet kicked off with a very busy Monday morning triple points! Riders took on the 9:15am and 5:30pm classes to give themselves bonus points and the perfect head start to the tour ahead.

This year the Tour de Swet included a pleasant 50km social outdoor ride. As the weather provided perfect riding conditions, it was fantastic to see so many riders of all abilities and bikes come along for the ride. In total, 16 riders came out for an awesome ride and some delicious coffee en route.

What better way to finish off this years Tour de Swet then our traditional Champagne Sunday! After a busy and tough Hot Mess class with Matt, Champagne (orange juice) was sipped and sprayed as riders celebrated the end of an exhausting but satisfying three weeks of riding.

The overall point leaders saw some fierce competition leading right up to the very end. In fact, the final class was indeed the deciding factor between first and second place. Above the 2017 Tour de Swet point winners: Middle: 1st Place 55pts – Kirsten Mitchel. Right: 2nd Place 53pts – Katie Butler. Left: Michelle Thornton 51pts.

But there can only be one winner! Those that completed the 21 ride point target over the three-week Tour de Swet went in the running to win a prize pack from the Swet Haus as well as 50 (yep, 50 delicious) protein balls from Stir Cooking School. And the winner is… Kaitlyn! Congratulations on winning this years Tour de Swet and special thanks to Stir Cooking School for your support! It’s been an amazing rider challenge!
